Fall 2019 – Spring 2023

The public four year institution I attended in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Being just an hour away from the DC Metro Area allowed me to observe how Urban Planning and GIS can go hand in hand together when making big changes.

Originally a Psychology major, I realized that the field wasn’t for me and at the end of my junior year I switched into the brand new Geospatial Analysis major, all while being able to graduate on time and use the skills I learned from a 95% complete major.

The public high school I attended in Stephens City, Virginia, just ten minutes away from Winchester and half an hour away from the West Virginia border.

Growing up in a small but growing town has allowed for me to get a firsthand experience into how long big urban changes can take and the impact growth can have on a community. Being in an area where more and more people are moving to in order to get away from the high prices of NOVA has shown me that the area is growing and will continue to grow for decades to come.
